Ackworth

Welcome to Our Historic Coaching Inn

Established in 1682, our coaching inn has been at the heart of the Ackworth community for centuries. Nestled just outside Pontefract, we offer a timeless blend of heritage and hospitality. Step inside and you’ll find open fires, inviting bar areas, and a warm, friendly atmosphere that makes every visit feel special.

We’re proud to be a dog-friendly inn, where everyone – two-legged and four-legged – is made to feel at home. Our calendar of live music brings the pub to life, while our beautiful Mediterranean-inspired beer garden bar provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying long evenings with friends and family.

Behind the bar, you’ll find a carefully curated range of wines, premium spirits, and cask ales, including celebrated brews from Bradfield Brewery. It’s this dedication to quality and community that earned us the honour of being named Community Pub of the Year by CAMRA.

Whether you’re here to relax by the fire, enjoy a pint in the garden, or soak up the atmosphere of a true village inn, we look forward to welcoming you.

We are delighted to be able to offer Pub Classics with a Modern  Twist, here at the Masons Arms.
From the Breakfast Menu to the Dinner menu, there is always something on offer to suit everyone's taste.
Not to mention Daily Specials, curated by our Head Chef.
We even have a Children's Menu to suit the smaller people in your life.
Dogs also have their own menu for you to indulge your four legged friends.
All of our products are seasonal and are sourced locally.
The chefs always work hard to make sure we bring you the best quality available.
